openSUSE Leap 16.0 Retrospective Survey available

The project is looking for your specific feedback on the release of openSUSE Leap 16.0 - there are just two questions on the survey: What worked, and what didn't. The more specific you can be (ideally with links to specific bug reports), the more useful your feedback will be for future releases.

This survey *is not* where you should report bugs. Please do not not use it in that way. For information about reporting bugs, see https://
    en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Submitting_bug_reports

The survey can be found at https://survey.opensuse.org/ and will be open until October 22, 2025.

Thank you for that survey link.
I'll have you know that I was polite. But dismissive. Essentially summarising what I wrote here, I did not consider that to be reporting a
bug because I did not get far enough to be able to report what the
problem was - necessary on a bug report.

From the comments made in the IRQ chat that day, I'd guess that I'm not
the first one to have encountered that problem. There has been a new
level of that script released but it seemed to be for another reason.

Yes. However, unless you report in Bugzilla, there is no official record
and the issue can be ignored.

For example, when asked if there was going to be a respin of the install
DVD, the answer was that there is only one open bug against installer.
But there are many people complaining that the installation failed.

I can't comment on the Install, my fail was the Upgrade.

I'm less than impressed with the decision to separate them though, my
fallback was an Upgrade from 16.0 to 15.6 using the DVD. It was rather
upset that 16.0 was not a supported "from" level and the results were undefined, but the result was almost exactly what I was hoping for.

If/when I upgrade (or install) to 16.0 again, I won't have that fallback option when moving to 16.1 in a few years.

AFAIK the DVD with Agama does not offer upgrade to 16.0. The only method
is "zypper dup" from the running system, or, a script that automates things:
