I've decided to shut down my WWIV BBS. No one participates and it basically just sits idle. The domain name is set to renew in January 2027, but I am going to let it expire.

Thanks to the folks on WWIVnet for having me and for at least providing something to read on my board.

I have a two node Renegade BBS running on 86Box with a classic 486DX2/66 system setup on MS-DOS 6.22 and DESQview that I host locally which requires no external VPS to host on, so that is where my time will go in regards to me being a sysop in 2026 and beyond.

Wish you all the very best!

Sorry to hear that. For me, I run both Synchronet and WWIV. They both run on the same server, so it doesn't matter if the WWIV gets used or not. The Synchronet board is used every day. The WWIV... maybe once every week.

Just as long as you keep sysoping somewhere :)
