Why would someone try to log into my board with a "Debug" command? Is it a bot or hacker kiddies?

Why would someone try to log into my board with a "Debug" command? Is it
a bot or hacker kiddies?

Likely a bot. When I ran a SMTP server recently, Palo ALto networks was always trying to hack into it to include info about it in their posture management database for example.

theIPV4 space is small so all of the ASPM vendors portscan it all regularly and try to map it as well as dozens of script kiddies, and governments, and everyone else. Mostly automated since it's jsut time consuming.

It's curious because I am sitting here watching it happen and it's kind of mechanical. Doesn't seem to be "intelligent" in other words.

They think the bbs is a linux/unix prompt to someone's computer. Use a trashcan.txt and remove debug as a valid handle.
