• Incoming packets

I've determined that my incoming WWIVnet stopped sometime about 12/25/2022 so I went to find bbs backups which I have about five of them. I can try to see if any of my backups work to complete my networking issues. I still can transfer messages out yet I do not get any incoming posts...

Very strange. I checked and see a fairly large S255.net packet on my system that keeps trying to send to you. I receive traffic from you, but the sending never seems to complete.

I went ahead and deleted the packet to see if things just magically start working again.

Hope it could be that simple. Considering things worked without a glitch for years, I don't know what could have happened...

Are you running the latest binkp for WWIV? I seem to remember there was an issue years ago that was fixed that had to do with packet transfers failing.

I would just verify you are running the latest binkp since that does all the send/receiving of the packets.

Another think I noticed is your system sends me the same messages over and over, sometimes 5 times in a row. It is like it isn't deleting the send packets once they go to my system - and then apparently not trying to download anything from my system.

I would try the latest networkb and see if that magically fixes everything.

That would be tangible to check
