Anyone listen to the new Judas Priest album? These guys are ancient yet still kick ass!
I haven't! And, YES I was shocked to see that they were still touring. My daughter Taryn was formerly the director of marketing and artist relations at Warner Brother's records. She left WB to work for a competitor, Wasserman. She said that WB was an "Old Boy's Club" in other words, not friendly for advancement of women. Well it looks like Wasserman is taking a lot of clients from WB etc because they are managing artists like Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Phil Lesh (RIP) as well as Judas Priest. I told her about their new album because she focuses on another genre of music. Well she just followed up and said "... wow dad!" Ha! Ha! the new generation.... She's actually quite knowledgeable but, a younger generation of course...
I've seen a few bands from my youth, and it has been hit and miss. Some really should have retired decades ago, wheras others just keep craking
out the tunes and are still quite good. Iron Maiden, Metallica, WAR,
Tower of Power etc...
