I'm pretty much a classic rock person i.e., Led Zepplin etc., but I am revisiting a genre which I believe is making a comeback. I like the "Shoegaze" stuff in the 90's and I hear some new reincarnations. I'm currently listening to Hum and Drop Nineteens but there are many more. It's heavy, ambient and melodic at the same time....

I've pretty much been a 'MetalHead' since the 80's back when we would go to the Stone on Broadway in SF to see kids and their garage bands play. New bands like Slayer, Death Angel, Metallica and the likes. However, over the past decade or so, I've been getting more into old Funk, Blues, and indi. Blew my mind (and hers) when Julie came over for the first time and brought alng her Portishead tape to see if I could handle her taste in music but before she could take it our of her bag, she realized that Glory Box was playing in my 5-disk changer.
Really enjoying bands like Massive Attack, Caro Emerald and Rammstien these days but every now and then have to slip in some Clapton unplugged or Sly Stone.

Great influences. I grew up on Clapton, Jimi, Page etc. I'm playing bass right now and love to watch old videos of Jack Bruce. Whether he is playing his harmonica or playing bass and singing "Deserted Cities of the Heart" he is effing incredible!
