I think I read in the whatsnew either an interBBS last caller or one liner mod was written into the code. How would one .. say .. use / install this feature?
I'm also still curious .. do the .bas scripts read and write to the hard drive if it's a linux based system?
Eli's oneliner.bas, as an example, states it saves to the GLOBAL data list record. I don't see any "file" in the /wwiv/data directory reflecting this description. Eli's oneliner.bas mod works in that it displays, inputing a one liner works, yes/no questions work, but nothing saves. When I was on Windows it did. So I'm wondering if there is an OS identifier needing used at the beginning of the code to tell the mod what/format/to/save within or if I can mod the mod to save to a text file now instead? From the docs, it appeared I could only write the code to write to an HD using data files.
I know I've asked this before, as one can tell, I'd really like to have a one liner mod more interactive then the auto message, while still keeping the retro wwivness auto message.
Any input mucho appreciated.
