    A forgetful teller at the bank used my fathers profile and drained my fathers checking account on another customer.
    Its making me want to quit the bank and switch over to a different establishment for my own personal account.

    WTF? It sounds more deliberate than forgetful?
    Seems that way. Luckily I was off from work that day and caught the error quickly for my father to talk to one of the bank managers about it. I think that teller is likely getting a demerit for that.

    That's horrible! I'm sure someone else has asked, but were you able to get everything reversed and taken care of?

    Yes, and I am thinking not putting all my eggs in 1 basket. Going to put no more than 2.2k in my main account, and then dump the rest in my 2 savings accounts.

    For sure. Also... while unfortunately right now is the wrong time for it, see if you can find high-yield savings accounts (usually online only). They usually have much high interest than an average bank savings account. Right now, though, interest rates are only around the low 4s or high 3s (percent).
    It's nice when they are high 5s or better.

    Currently, you can make at least 7% with very minimal risk. Rules of thumb. When the market is in extreme fear, you buy that fear! That is where the highest gains come from on the rebound.

    I spent 50-60 bucks buying some stocks when stuff decreased.

    It seems like lots of retail did the same. I did some re-allocating to take advantage of the sale prices.

    i think i might lose my good driver discounts. but at least my car is intact and the scooter rider isnt severely hurt.

    Assume that all are OK?

    I hope for no injuries of severity. They didnt need the ambulence or paramedics. They were able to walk from the incident. But that does not gurantee absolution yet. Even if they have no issues, I know I will get hit with the high rate stick. 50-70 more a month such as losing the good driver discount.

    I live in a crowded neighborhood where traffic sometimes gets crazy where people dart thru. I am changing my route so I avoid that area for awhile. Leave for work 20 minutes before school peak time.

    I did call the insurance company, but I didnt have time to make the call.
    But I will be talking to them Friday or Saturday
    to formalize the case just in case the other party asks for reimbursement for any costs.
