When I was first diagnosed with Covid a few years ago, it was Jimmy Mac who sent me a courtesy box of teas from the company he does IT for. Just right for huddling in the sunlight on my deck to recover. I did learn a few things about teas as bioflavenoids. I saw some literature that supported the reduction of LDL cholesterol from Bergomot which is the main constituent of Earl Grey tea, hence the flavor. My doctor was bitching at me to lower my which was 150. She wanted to put me on statins. Thought I would give the Bergomot a try. I got the capsules and started taking two a day. In one month, my LDL cholesterol went from 150 down to 100. I told my wife's aunt who had been diagnosed with high LDL and she started taking it. Her PCP was stunned as it worked and her PCP asked about this and noted that it had been effective for her. So, yet I love my coffee (coffee has significant properties too), teas have benefits. Therefore, give the Earl Grey a try. Engage!!!

I had no idea Begramot had that quality. Unfortunately, we no longer produce any black teas due to the difficulty in sourcing raw materials.

One of my all time favorites is Earl Grey though, especially that produced by The Jasmine Pearl Tea company up in Portland. Out of the 30 or so brands I've tried, that one blew me away. Which reminds me! It's near time to restock.
