New Weather door

Hi all,

Wanted to put out a "plug" for a new Weather door that I've been part of
beta testing for a while now. It's called AI-WXDoor and it's pretty impressive. It has both ANSI and SIXEL graphics to show
clouds/precipitation for anywhere in the world. Also forecasts,
temperature trends, and MUCH more. It is expected to be released soon,
and is truly a "cut above" most any door I've seen. You can check it
out on the author's Mystic board at firesidebbs.com telnet port: 23231
or at my BBS in the origin line below. It's not often that we see new high-quality doors released, and this one is impressive!

That sounds pretty darn cool. Over at RetroRunning.ddns.net:8880 there is a weather door based on SyncWX (running on Synchronet). It uses weatherapi.com for the information. I am interested in seeing this new one.

is a weather door based on SyncWX (running on Synchronet). It uses weatherapi.com for the information. I am interested in seeing this new
one.

I did buy a licence for the copy. Help patronize people who make stuff for our niche community.

That sounds very cool! I remember long ago I used a telnet script to capture text based local radar, and then converted the 1-5 number intensities to ANSI colored blocks. Then added them all together to make them in order. So it was ended up with animated ANSI local radar.

I already have it using CumulusMX for a web presence and can pull data from my AllStar node for audio broadcast over RF with the SkyWarn

I am not sure if SyncWX has those capabilities. I can get you a copy of the SyncWX that is used at RetroRunning for you to look at. This new AI-WX (sp) sounds like it packs a lot more punch!
