How was everyone's summer?
I still have lots of projects to complete before it gets cold. First is installing the new front door we have had in the garage for a year now. Weather looks good for this next weekend, so will give it a shot and tryYou're a busy man! I know of those projects.... We have an old boiler which has served us well; it needs to be replaced. Our oil prices are up to $5.50 per gallon and the tank is almost empty. I spoke to my wife about getting the system replaced as a new one would be more efficient. We just had a heat pump installed with mini splits which offsets the cooling and heating but not the hot water. Sounds quite domestic. Yes! Keep in shape.... Take care of your ass for it bears you! Enjoy the break in the weather!
and get that checked off the list.
I have been doing lots of mountain bike riding and also some Harley
riding here and there in the evenings. I'm dead set on staying in shape
as I get older and don't want my body to fall apart. Also still working this neck/upper back issue out from the whiplash.

American Cruise Lines "Cape Codder" - Boston to Boston.Sounds like fun! Will you get off and explore at various points? Stay clear this weekend from Friday night to Monday as we're having that Nor'Easter :O Otherwise, fall here is neat....
And yes, it will go through the Cape Cod canal.
Looking forward to it :)

Yeah, it was a fun weekend closing the pool while the Nor-Easter was whipping things around and off/on downpours.Well we've had lots of rain and some high wind gusts however... It looks like the storm started going more inland around Long Island and then hug the coast more to the West. The cape looked like the "bullseye" there for awhile but the sun actually came out on Sunday. More rain today yet we escaped any power outage which usually happens. The power goes out if someone sneezes here yet they really can get it back online in good time when it happens. A natural gas generator is on my wish list in the future... One thing at a time.

Yes, those natural gas generators are nice. My Mom lives in a secludedWhen the tourists leave, Cape Cod reminds me of old Edgewood back in the '50s and '60s. It becomes like "Mayberry". comes on often since her area has power issues often. They are
relatively quiet and really nice. The only thing I can think of better
is the Bloom Energy fuel cells that also work off natural gas. They
make zero noise, but not sure if they are available for residential yet.

It sounds like a nice and relaxing area - at least during the non-summer time. There are fewer and fewer small towns these days. I can't believePerry Hall was farmland. I remember there seemed to be cute girls there. I did my driving test in Bel Air. The town had an ordanince and closed on Wednesdays. We used to get musical instruments, guitars and amps from Beshore's Furnature store. I guess they saw a demand and sold decent stuff. My band played a party at Blue Bell back in 1970.... I'm dating myself :O
how much over building happened in the Perry Hall, MD area. I remember
when that area was mostly farms and there was one lane small roads. It
is basically the city now.
Even Bel Air has grown in size a ton since I moved here around 25 or so years ago.

I grew up in Carney/Parkville on Cub Hill Road. Even that area wasIn the summer, my mother would drop me off for YMCA day camp which consisted of swimming lessons at Merganthaller HS (Inner City) and then a bus to Cub Hill Riding Acadamy to get riding lessons. But who knows, maybe good lessons to learn that there are other people who exist besides your self?
pretty rural back when I was young. You had to go south of Northern
Parkway to be in the city.
