    All this stuff might work in a few places/cities, but definitely not where I'm at ;). Phoenix is WAY too spread out (and way too hot) for these crazy ideas. Same with plenty of other places like Vegas. Seriously doubt it would work in LA, either, which is cited in that post. I bet someone from "Back East" wrote that.. someone with experience in one city ;).
