I think wwivnet is its own little community where there is not as many of us. Which does not help us get more posts.

I've been with WWIVnet since it's demise in the mid 90's. Eli Sanford managed to collaborate with Steve Winn (VADV / VirtualNet) and combine it with VirtualNet. Files were tossed with an FTP routine. Later WWIVnet was resurrected with FTN/binkp. Steve Winn managed to resurrect VirtualNet which I am still running on my Virtual Advanced BBS. My WWIVnet is down because my WWIV board is on an old machine and I need to migrate to a 64 bit OS. I don't see why WWIVnet couldn't be backwards compatible. Otherwise, I would be posting from my own board. BTW, there are only like 5 Virtual Advanced bbs's connected with VirtualNet. I see the Renegade people still connected with MetroNet. DoveNet via Synchronet is still the largest perhaps and there are but a few active subs on Fido patronizing specific software related topics.
IMHO I think Fido experienced a great loss when Janice Kracked (sp) passed. Nick Andre seems to be holding down the fort. We are all getting older. I'll be a young 71 soon.

Yep - That time of year again.. Getting ready for our winter holiday, hoping to see (feel) some sun! Has been cold and rainy here in Northern CA.

We got some decent snow last week for once. I actually got a workout digging. We might get some tonight and into tomorrow. Not much however. I sent a Harry and David box to my youngest daughter and her BF in Montana. They couldn't deliver it for a few days due to the weather so I know their roads are closed.

Our weather was rather nice, although we did get a couple of days in at the beach, we also got hit with an amazing lightening storm. Strange weather there fir sure.. Then in the Blue Mountains, two days of 106f followed by a couple of days in the 80's & 90's with some rain. Loved it!

My son TJ and his wife Kelley were here to visit when we got home, they mentioned that they have yet to see snow in Corvalis. Must have only been further north near Missoula? They had no issues with the weather there when they
    flew out last week.
