What's a good bourbon that is priced close to Jimmy Beam yet is somewhat better and not as sweet?
Can you find Lost Republic, Bardstown, Buffalo Trait or Basil Hayden out your way? Those are a few of my favorites.
Jim Beam is pretty low end stuff, not sure if you can find a good burbon in that price range Maybe Four Roses?
Have you tried any Ryes? They have a similar flavor profile as Burbon and are great for a nice Manhattan or Old Fashioned.
I was at my daughters home yesterday, visiting my 8-day old grandsun and noticed that my Son in law still had the bottle of Blue Label I gave him when grandson #1 arrived. So.. Yes, we both enjoyed a glass. gotta hand it to him! I'm not sure Blue Label would last over 2 years in my household. Althought I do have about one glass left from my Talisker 30 my son gave me in 2019.
