Wow! Just returned from a marathon visit to Canada. Starting from Vancouver and taking the train to Banff! What was stunning was the first day landing in Montreal from Boston when everyone clapped after landing. They were happy and proud to be home again. Despite the wonderful sights and people I met, Canadians are not to happy now with the high rate of taxation; the decline in their healthcare system and, the influx of immigrants who are not in alignment with the country. In other words, immigrants have always been part of the country which is the national makeup. Yet the sudden influx of immigrants who are isolative and keep to themselves have irked the nationalists somewhat. They are sort of feeling violated. So, the grass is not always greener. Just a quick "take" on the pulse of another country. I will definitely go back and patronize my neighbor.
