I've used RipTerm under DosBox and it works quite well...

What was the last version that supported RIP?

Somewhere in my files, I have the fossil patch for 4.24 which is probably 5.0 without the RIP files. I am still running Virtual Advanced BBS which still has the RIP files built in and sometimes I log into it with RipTerm to see it work.

I never used it, but I believe my BBS has RIP since it is technically still 4.24a.

You would have to load RipTerm with DosBox to log into it remotely. Older versions of LORD still have their RIP files.
