• Which Plan?

GiffGaff have suggested that I move to one of their Undefined Plans.
Unlimited, I can see, but Undefined is, by definition, hard to pin down.

I heard it's better value to get the Unavailable plan :-P

They seem to be pushing everyone onto a plan and making alternatives
    obscure.

I believe they are referring to the previously named PAYG whereby you
simply buy credit, I believe u10 is the minimum and there is no
monthly charge. This is what I am on except I have no credit left (I
intend to add u10 as this is a second SIM in my dual SIM phone and can
act as backup). The credit does not expire. The information I have
    been given is:

"Credit will last for as long as the SIM is active. Do one of the
following in any 6 month period, to keep the SIM active: - make a call
    - send a text - top-up/add goodybag - use data connection "

    F/up to my response below:

I've just gone onto my account and I'm offered the options of buying a
PLAN or just adding Credit. I'm about to add the minimum credit, u10
and the notes I have made below are covered in the document links they
provide before you complete the action.

I don't think so. It's nothing to do with a construction company.

    Idmobile (voda3 nvmo)

I think you are a bit ahead of time.

ID mobile is a Three MVNO. In areas with no Three signal and
Vodafone masts haven't yet been MOCN'd all SIMs which rely on
Three (Three, Smarty, iDmobile, etc) are useless.

Not for me. I use my GiffGaff SIM in a Mi-Fi unit, which I use once or
twice a year. Rolling accounts are not for me, when I'm going to use
mine, I add some credit. Occasionally, I am prompted to do something
to keep the account active. Minimal use is the norm.
