    But <https://downdetector.co.uk> is a slightly different thing, which
    takes in "user feedback" as well as lack of response, but I think it
    probably overplays what it actually knows about what is "down".

    I went to theregister.com which usually has a writeup about outages like
    this, but that was down too.
