• Greenby - migration of "orphaned" email addresses, curing (or not) of "too many recipients" and "can't send to hotmail" problems

My mum has a Plusnet internet connection which has an email address
associated with it. For some internal reason, Plusnet had to give her a
new account a few years ago when she was upgraded from ADSL to
VDSL/FTTC. So she also has email addresses associate with the old (now defunct) internet account. It is those old "orphaned" addresses that she
uses - there are far too many people who know the old address for her
ever to be able to migrate to a new address.

She's had an email from Greenby saying that her new email address has
been migrated but there is no mention of the "orphaned" address.

Does anyone know whether migration of active-connection addresses also migrates orphaned addresses, or whether that happens as a separate
    exercises?

What happens about Greenby taking payment for the orphaned addresses?
AIUI, active addresses get two years free access before payment is
needed but orphaned ones need payment sooner.

She has been plagued by two email problems: the dreaded "too many
recipients" bounce message which means that failed emails have to be
reposted just after the new hour, and a problem where emails to hotmail addresses gets bounced by hotmail because Plusnet is wrongly though to
    be an originator of spam.

Does anyone know whether migration to Greenby cures either/both of those problems. For the moment, if she receives an email from a hotmail
address she has to reply to it using a gmail account that I have created
for her - when she remembers to do that.

Done at an account level AFAIK so the two migrations will be independent
    of each other.

Grace period of a month, followed by -u15/yr according to this - https://www.plus.net/help/email-account-changes/

The 'too many recipients' may well be due to the destination seeing too
much email from @<something>.plus.com addresses. If that's the case,
then she may not see any difference.

The spam bounces will be dependent on the reputation of Greenby's
servers and how well they've configured things like DKIM, SPF and DMARC alignment.

AIUI, things are in an interim state at the moment with Plusnet proxying
some mail across to Greenby whilst the migration is underway. Once
complete, and everything switches to Greenby, then a picture of what has/hasn't improved will become clear.
