• HDMI splitters

I wanted to send an HDMI signal to two different devices, but I can
only find items that send the signal to A or to B. Is this because HDMI
is a two-way communication system? The reason I want this is so that
I can set up my desktop PC in one room to download a catch-up TV
programme, but to watch it on the TV set in the next room. If I start
with it connected to the TV set, I can't reach the keyboard to navigate
to the site. If I start it on the PC, then I can't send the signal to
the TV set. I am wary of switching the destination while HDMI
is connected, as I once blew a PC's HDMI output doing that.

You should be able to find 1in, 2out devices pretty easily, the wrinkle
may be HDCP, but I thought boxes worked around that?

    e.g. <https://amazon.co.uk/Splitter/dp/B083JVPXDY>

If you want it to up/down scale, or run monitors at different
    resolutions you'll need a fancier box ...

Ah-ha! And their other suggested one is even cheaper at
-u6. They sound as though they should do the job.
For now, I've moved my laptop to the TV room, and will try to WiFi the programme to the TV set.
It's a Youtube video, so there should be no HDCP problems.
    But thanks, that looks suitable.
