• SOT: Bluetooth Latency query

I was watching football in bed the other night on my Lenovo tablet and listening with Bluetooth earbuds. The audio was good but a relatively
    long way out of sync.

Can anyone tell me which affects delay the most - the transmitter or the receiver? Unless you buy expensive branded earbuds you have no way of
knowing whether or not they are low latency. On the other hand my tablet allegedly uses BT 5.0LE as far as I can tell which should be the lowest latency around but is that for Tx or Rx or both?

The model of my tablet has been discontinued so these figures are from GSMArena which is sometimes incorrect for products purchased outside the
USA. It is also known as the M10 FHD Plus or TB-X606X.

I have noticed this loss of sync effect when viewing Freeview
terrestrial transmissions on hard-wired audio when using an EyeTV
    dongle on my Apple kit.

Freeview viewed simultaneously on conventional TV is in sync.
I conclude that the loss of sync on computer is an artifact of the
    computer itself regardless of bluetooth.
