In order to watch news which was not about No. 10 I decided to look at
Al Jazeera, but just got a blank screen. Is Al Jazeera still on
freeview? I had to use an app to watch over broadband in the end.

It's still there on 251 but is streamed. Just give it a few seconds to
    start showing.

I just tried it, and got the resignation speech outside No. 10!!!

It came up with a blue screen eventually telling me to connect to the
internet. So I'll use the 'News Haystack' app on Roku from now on, it
has a sci-tech news channel too, and Euronews, which has also gone
    internet only.

Al Jazeera is on Freesat 203, and Arirang is on 214. My old Humax
satellite box can't connect to online channels. I had trouble getting
good reception from both of these. Channel 203 seems OK now I've cut off
a tree branch that was blowing in the wind and intermittently blocking
the signal, but 214 is still erratic.

Al Jazeera is not on Freeview any more, and my old Humax Freeview box
doesn't show channels which used to be connected to the internet if your
box has the capability, which mine doesn't.
