    I watched some of this today. Two of her songs were played as the
    coffin arrived in the church but BBC News switched away to the BBC News
    theme on a loop for well over five minutes (might have been ten minutes).

    They did it several more times when there was some music - except when a
    men's choir was singing (pity they could have used a proper Welsh Male
    Voice Choir!).

    Could it possibly be that the merging of BBC News and BBC World News
    creates copyright issues outside ther UK?

    I did wonder about that but the choir sang a number songs that were not written by or for her so thought there might be more of a right issue
    with them.

    She seems to have very good relations with the people, and probably
    companies, that she worked with so might have expected there would be
    few problems over rights.
