I've found these flickr albums by Russell W Barnes, including:
Droitwich TX in 1984, Skelton SW station (my first posting) and
BBC ETD Wood Norton. It's worth opening each pic., there are
    some interesting comments attached:

    BBC Droitwich 1984 <https://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b/albums/72157603792453070/>

    BBC Skelton <https://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b/albums/72157603792430482>

BBC Engineering Training, Wood Norton, 1983/4/5 <https://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b/albums/72157622441573530>

Some of his other albums are quite interesting too: <https://www.flickr.com/photos/russell_w_b/albums>

Was that the TX that was in operation until this year?

Interesting to see that they had Telefunken transmitters there, also
    applies for Orfordness.

Yes, I think so; I'm pretty sure it's the same one that I visited in
1968 and I don't think it had been replaced since then.

I read that the last LW TX was from the 80s. https://tx.mb21.co.uk/gallery/gallerypage.php?txid=1454&pageid=2072

Aren't we slightly at cross purposes here - one of you is talking about
the site (he who visited), and the other the equipment (at any site)?

I didn't know that, thank you. It seems that there were several changes
that I was not aware of.
