    2026-6-19 (Friday), 22:13 BST.

    On FreeView channel 1.

Picture: lots of men running round on a green surface.
Subtitles: appear to be football commentary, matching picture.
Sound: seems to be news - discussion of a train crash, with a passenger
and then an expert. I think I heard the interviewer say at one point (to
the passenger) "thanks for coming onto five live". Yes, I've just heard
"this is five sport", or something like that, and then going over to a stadium/game - but not the event that's in picture.

Have put set into standby and out, in case it had got into a weird configuration.

Ah - 22:18:28: sound briefly went quiet, then came back to match the
video and subtitles. But I'd say it had been in the dud situation for
well over quarter of an hour.

I used to dream of the day when linux was as stable as windows. Never
did I imagine that parity would be achieved by windows declining into
the chaos that engulfs and stifles linux.
