There is an article in the latest issue of Subterranea about the British government's attempts to jam Radio North Sea Internation using a 50 KW
that had been originally bought by Radio Caroline, initially using a 10
KW transmitter at Beacon Hill then the 50 KW transmitter was moved to Canewdon.

The transmitter was then moved to Orfordness where it was used by Radio Caroline.

If it is the one I am thinking of, it was used by the BBC World Service
on 648 kHz for a long time, has had many transmitters during the life of
the station, and the mast is now used by Caroline using a restricted
service licence on up to 10 kW power.

Was this an article written by AI?

The jamming of Radio Northsea International by the British Post was in
    the late 60's.
RNI tried to influence British elections and they did it under the name
of Radio Caroline from the ship Mebo 2 (RNI's ship).
The 100 kW transmitter on the Mebo2 was built by the owners, two Swiss radiomen Meister and Bollier (note the first 2 letters of their names
    form MeBo).

At that time Radio Caroline was not transmitting themselves, because
both ships (Radio Caroline North and Radio Caroline South) were hijacked
and brought to Amsterdam in 1968.
The British government had no transmitters from Radio Caroline, because
they were on the ships in Amsterdam.

The 100 kW transmitter of RNI just stayed on the Mebo2 when the ship was
    sold to Lybie.
The Lybian goverment bommed the Mebo2 and the ship sunk with transmitter
    in the Mediterrean Sea.

The transmitter location Orfordness is from many years later. Built for
BBC World Service and BBC European Service with the transmitters of 500 kW.
In 1969 BBC WS and ES transmitted from Crowborough with more then 200 kW.

Radio Caroline started in Orfordness on 648 in 2017 with "a Nautel ND2.5 transmitter which was obtained through a supporter in Switzerland."
Radio Caroline later bought a transmitter in The Netherlands used on 828
    kHz.
You can read all about that on Radio Caroline's website: https://www.radiocaroline.co.uk/#648_am.html
