  • OT: GAA the Mayo curse

    The curse was real!
    In 1951 Mayo won the all Ireland GAA footbal final. The story goes
    that on the way back they came across a funeral for which they didn't
    stop or pay respect. The cleric in charge was so angry that he cursed
    the team never to win again until every last player had died.
    In 2023 Dr Michael Loftus died; the last remaining player from the
    1951 win.

    Mayo won today in their first final since the curse was 'broken'.

    Are there any cricketing curses?
    Our roller isn't cursed as much as it is cursed at.
