Presumably an alternative universe where it's still September 1993. I
can't imagine a Usenet operator being able to sponsor anything these days.
(Problems with eternal.september seem to be very rare; certainly no current problems AFAIK.)
That's good to hear. I'll need something to switch to when news.individual.net gets it's plug pulled next year.
I'll be in the same boat. Hopefully ES will do as good a job as NIN in filtering out spam. But the way things are going, I can't help wondering
how much longer ES and the other publicly available news servers will
continue for.
