  • England v SL: 3rd ODI

A good effort by England, to inflict the first ODI series defeat for SL
in 12 series on home soil. A fine innings by Root and an amazing one by
    Brook.

England's spinners did well to hold their nerve after an onslaught by
SL's batsmen in the powerplay. One strange thing: I noticed on the
scorecard at one point that, after Dawson and Jacks had both bowled 8
overs, they both had figures of 2-43 and had even bowled the same number
    of dot balls (24).

I started listening to commentary on Talksport towards the end of
England's innings, but it was so bad that I had to give up on it after
about ten minutes. In particular, Darren Gough should never be allowed anywhere near a microphone.
