He's arguably had the worst series of all England's batsmen, especially
if you take his drops into account, ahead of (or should that be
"behind"?) even Pope and Jamie Smith. But, oddly, England have no
reserve opener in their squad so, unless they wanted to draft in someone >from the Lions, they had no real choice but to stick with him.
