175 is the 10th-most balls remaining in an England defeat (and the
7th-most in a SA win), and one of those above it was a 60-over match.

It was pretty disastrous. One felt very sorry for poor Sonny Baker. The first eight or so overs of the South African innings were rather
bizarre, with him going for about 14 an over at that stage at one end
and Archer going for two an over at the other.

What kind of captaincy is it continuing with Sonny Baker for 4 overs
after being mauled for 14 and 20 in the first two overs CHASING
    England's SMALL target of 131?

WEIRD tactics from captain Harry Brook.

I suppose he wanted to encourage Baker by showing he still had faith in
him, but to me keeping him on it seemed like a big mistake that was more likely just to further damage his confidence, not to mention that any
chance England might have had of winning was rapidly slipping away..

Defending 131 and WINNING the GAME is WAY MORE IMPORTANT than showing confidence in Sonny Baker.

Showing faith in Sonny Baker at that juncture of the game SHOULDN'T even
    be in the priority list.

Besides, it's Baker's FIRST ODI and hence nobody is going to complain
    about his failure.

Brook's THOUGHT PROCESS was completely fucked up as a captain.
