GFS 06Z gives sustained 70mph along the English Channel which ,if it
came about, would lead to a century record flood tide for whoever the
surge coincides with the high tide pulse, only just off peak of spring
tides.
After divergence, maybe coming together for sustained 60mph or more
along the Eng Channel coincident with the high tidal pulse along the
channel 08/09 over midnight.
GFS windswathe as-is like GEM and NAVGEM, MetO if 20 miles more south,
ECMWF if 20 miles more north.
