• healing my brother

    From David Dalton@dalton@nfld.com to uk.religion.christian on Fri Jul 24 00:46:53 2026

The Feast of Saint James will be Saturday, July 25.

I hope to begin healing my ill brother James, who
is in a long term care home, then by prayer, hoping
that his name day will be an auspicious occasion.

Even doctors do not heal, they merely provide the conditions in which
the body can heal itself. You, however, are not a doctor.

Like the rest of us, you can pray and ask God to heal your brother - and
I certainly wish him well - but to think that you can heal your brother
all by yourself is an arrogant delusion.

    God bless,

Note that In my original post I did use the word prayer,
and that I donrCOt claim to have healer special ability.

You did use the word "prayer", but you also state "I hope to begin
healing". In other words, you would be the one doing the healing. A
Christian would have written "I will ask God to heal" and would not have waited until some future date to begin making the request.
