• We plough the fields and scatter

    From Timreason@timreason@hotmail.co.uk to uk.religion.christian on Sat May 16 07:50:42 2026

I posted this in the 'other' newsgroup:

    [QUOTE]

These newsgroups (I'm only subscribed to two, 'If you know, you know')
have become rather fallow. This group rarely shows any new growth at
all, it's become a veritable desert.

As for the other group {ukrc}, there seem to be only a tiny handful of
workers on the land, and although they do seem to keep ploughing the
land, they keep on tediously ploughing the same furrows over and over
again, and rarely seem to plant any new seed. When they do plant, they
just plant the same old crop again and again, and seem to know nothing
    of crop rotation.

The workers are indeed few, and sadly there seems to be nothing of value
    worth reaping any more.

It would seem that most of the former workers of this no longer fertile
    land have indeed all scattered.

    [END QUOTE]

    Tim.

If Ken didn't raise new topics, I think UKRC would be quieter than it
is. What crops would you like to see rotated? Start a thread and let's discuss.

That's because usenet is dying, although there are some groups that are
still popular. I'm a subscriber to uk.legal.moderated and that is still
quite a popular group, although I very rrely post.

I'm on Threads, where, due to my algorithm, Christianity pops up quite regularly, and I've also noticed recently Reddit has a section related
to Christianity, and keeps popping up on my phone as notifications.

Thanks John I have responded to this in the other ng.

    Regards,

I believe that newsgroups are no longer fashionable. It is to ukrc's
credit that it has survived as long as it has.

You are too kind. But yes, it would be good if others were more active
in posting. And that, in turn, might encourage new members to join.
