    Some being the operative word.

I checked my rain gauge this morning, and felt that the reported 96"
since 0100 was probably a tad excessive. Having evicted the spiders
from the rain gauge, and then checked other local reports, 0.02" seems a
bit nearer mark. And we've just had a few more spots.

Rather small ones. I used to get big spiders in there, but after some modifications, I only get the itsy witsy teensy weeny ones, but they
still make cobwebs big enough to gum the jbexf up.

Simla here, but reckon it will take a tad more before the grass turns from yellow to green.

The nettles seem to manage to stay green?

    And the brambles keep growing.

In other news, we've just had a brief burst of profuse precipitation,
    now just steady rain.

A smidgeon here; but the collecting tank contains barely 2.56mm of
    water.

We had quite a downpour overnight (Hampshire). It's done summat odd to the lawn, though. Most of it is still the normal golden yellow colour, but this morning parts of it are starting to turn greenish. Mould, d'ya think?
