Anybody here used a Kneeling Chair to reduce pressure on your lower back?

I spend a great deal of time sitting with a laptop on my lap and I'm
looking for ways to give my lower back a rest.

I had one ~20 years ago. It was mostly comfortable enough, except
that you can't relax on it. It more or less enforces correct posture
(sit up straight, boy!) which means that some of your back muscles
    are always working.

The thing that I most disliked was that I tended to slide down the
inclined squab. That made my trousers ride up and strangulated
Tom, Dick and Harry. It was like an automatic wedgie machine.

Many thanks for the graphical description :-)

I've known a couple of people who've used them [and I tried using

I wonder if they transfer the problem from back to knees?

I slept downstairs for two nights this week on the Futon because of the
heat*, brilliant night's sleep and no back problems on either day,
    probably a lesson there...

    The Balans chair.

I had one in the 1970s, courtesy of my Norwegian
    girlfriend.

They are comfy, but if you are sitting on one, you can't
put anything on your lap, as you could sitting upright on a
    regular chair.

I'm sitting on one, and without I would have certainly given myself back issues :)

These are comfortable if you rock backwards and are balanced, but can be crushing on knees - I would not recommend one if of age...

I like the look of both of those but I wouldn't be able to use either
kind. Tightly folded knees would be awful for my lower leg oedema.
