• Motorcycle master cylinder kits

Back home now, from one tractor to another I've taken the clutch master
and slave cylinders off the Beemer. The seals actually look ok, but do
feel a little "thin". I found this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y2jk4zEehdg where the creator decided to
use the seals from a KTM 13mm kit - which seemed like a great idea. I
checked the usual dealers and the kit is ~70 quid for a couple of seals,
a spring, and not much else.

A swift Google later and I've a few kits on their way from Aliexpress
all at around 50p a set.

The slave cylinder I think is just a simple o-ring, I'll strip that
    later on.

    What could possibly go wrong?

I hate to be the one to tell you, but ...

Let's just say we're hoping for the best and nothing ventured,
    nothing gained, eh?

Well, I dismantled the slave cylinder and lucikly the piston and circlip
only flew a short distance, otherwise that would've needed either a replacement or a (desperately needed, I will get to it at some point) 6
month sort out of the garage.

It's not just a simple o-ring seal, but another of the cup type as used
on the master. Again the seal looks ok, no tears or signs of rot.

I am tempted just to put it all back together and refill with mineral oil.

Yes, and if it fails you will have the fun of doing it all again!
