Turns out we haven't met up since 2018!

Spent a great weekend up in Keilder with him, on the push bikes!

I did a 42 mile off road course, while he did 120.

Oh well, back to the motorbike this week for the French run :-)

using the overnight one from Le Havre to get home again this year after a
few days in Chartres with Brooms

Used it last year. Old, small ferry used to be on the Jersey route. Decent times 2130 out, 0900 arrival but we were 2.5 hours early last year, so I
guess they add extra time just in case of bad weather. Not many to get
through customs so home by 11am.

I checked the bike over (after screeding a floor), and had an oil leak.
Quick tweak of the sump bolt, seems to have sorted it.

Now reminding myself of what a bastard ride it is, not sure if the 5hrs
    will be enough, oh well.

see the 9 early runners in St Omer tomorrow.

dinner booked for 1930, meet in the Queen Vic bar across the road in Place Marechal Foch. We can have a toast to Brownz who recommended the 3 Caves restaurant where I first dined in 2016 with Hog & SO.

Radio silence here until the mission is completed on 10 May as CBA to set
up this bollocks on the phone.

Those Meta-averse have alternative ways to communicate any delay for dinner from the grim north.

I'm off to drink friends' beer and wine in Kent this evening.

I confess to occasionally looking in to UKRM on my phone while
traveling, not through any Usenet app on the phone but simply by using
VNC / Raspberry Pi Connect (or Chrome Remote Desktop) to remote into
    a computer at home.

I have also used a terminal emulator on the phone to ssh into a home
server, but now I don't bother with opening ports on my router and
all that. I suppose what that really means is I don't have a reason
to pay for a domain name...
