I suppose I will have to grow my own in a tub.
Can someone recommend a variety or varieties that are hot.

I fully agree that supermarket radishes (even the "taste the difference"
ones) are tasteless. I was discussing this yesterday with a friend and
asked her if she grows her own radishes, and what did they taste like.
She said the modern varieties are all a waste of time, and the only one
which was worth growing was "French Breakfast".
Yesterday in a market I bought a mooli in the hope that it had more
taste. It did, but only a little. It was, however, far better value.
If you want a touch of heat and flavour in a salad, try nasturtium
leaves. Add the flowers too for a touch of colour. They're easy to grow
in the sort of heat we've been having, but watch out for cabbage white
eggs on the undersides of the leaves!
