• Safe bug killer?

No problem until 2 years ago, then Gooseberry Sawflies (I think) found
my Gooseberries and Jostaberries. All was not lost as I found I had a
bottle of "Wilko Multi-Purpose Bug Killer". On the rear label of this
product it specifically says "Food crops my be harvested the day after treatment if required" and "For use on ornamentals, edibles and
    non-edibles."

As the bottle is now nearly empty and I am wanting to prepare for
onslaught this season I am looking for a replacement as this particular products doesn't seem to be available any more. Searching online I can
find various recommendations but none of them specifically say they are
safe to use on edible crops.

    Recommendations, please!

Perhaps its like cheapo Poundland stuff, just a strong soap solution in
an atomising spray bottle, alright as long as it doesn't rain.

I use these - you can pick the day of spraying:

    https://www.harrodhorticultural.com/organic-savona-fatty-acid-concentrate-pid8188.html

A solution of washing-up liquid (a bit stronger than for washing up)
    and a squirt of meths.

Both work on soft-bodied pests, but only if you soak them well.
