I have a small town front garden with a manicured privet hedge.
Normally I lug the trimmings through the house to the bin, but I'm

It 'suddenly' (after 25 years of heavy lifting) occurred to me that I

Am I asking for trouble?
BTW I have no shredder or compost heap and I enjoy cutting the hedge.
Mostly I mow my hedge cuttings in place.
Don't you have a mower?
And yes anything that stops light will act as a weed suppressing mulch
Not sure that privet makes particularly good compost though.
