Early shrub flowering

Looking around the garden yesterday I think that some of the shrubs are flowering up to a month earlier than usual. A couple of camellias are in
full flower while in others the buds look like they're going to break. Magnolia stellata buds are starting to open, and perhaps most unusual is
the Sophora "Sun King", which has already been in flower for a couple of weeks, and usually doesn't flower until late March to early April.
Even our cherry-plum tree, which is usually an early flowerer, has
excelled itself this year. The drive is covered in "pink snow", and if
we get a windy week there will be barely any flowers left.
A few of the clematis will be out soon if there's no frost, although
others have barely started to sprout new leaves.
