Cycle tourism in Mallorca rCLan opportunity, not a problemrCY says minister, despite resident backlash over disruption and littering

Residents say infrastructure is rCLnot prepared for this saturationrCY and criticise the rCLmannersrCY of cyclists

    [rCa]

Alongside concerns about congestion, some residents have criticised
visiting cyclists for littering, particularly discarded energy bars and gel wrappers.

One resident, Denis Fioranelli, has shared several photos of the rubbish
left by the tourists, saying: rCLYourCOve got the balls to come here to the island and enjoy the new tarmac, but you donrCOt have enough balls to take
    your own rubbish away.

rCLAnd yourCOve got no sense of space or proportion. DidnrCOt your mum and dad teach you any manners? Come on, folks. Are you having a joke?rCY

Littering was also raised as an issue during last yearrCOs Mallorca 312, with organisers confirming that they had to clear rubbish from two points along
the route, away from designated feed stations.

It's a surprise that the execrable road.cc published this, unless their intention was to lambast the critics for being "too suburban" or something.

I thinks thatrCOs a fair summation of the issue, reflected as might be
expected from the faithful in the Comments section.

Oh yes. Still biking regularly for basic transport and recreation - and
