    I'm afraid I'm not surprised.

Especially not remembering the recorded and reported behaviour of chav-cyclists on rural village greens.

    Nor am I.
Often when this chav-bicyclist is riding (non-electrified), especially
up hills he is almost bowled over by c***s on electric (=motor)-bikes
    whizzing by far too close.
Electric bikes should be treated like motorbikes - licence,
registration, use roads not footpaths, etc.

In the cycling world here (read: road.cc) thatrCOs referred to as motornormative behaviour.

They havenrCOt sussed on yet about cyclenormative behaviour, which is essentially what their story concerned.

Electric bikes should be treated like motorbikes - licence,

Would that were so for many types of vehicles, motorised or otherwise.
