I'm refurbishing my old Raleigh Pioneer 140 . I changed the rear hub cassette since it was a bit worn and the pawls were slipping. There's a couple of spacers and a locknut on the cassette side, but on the other
side only a couple of serrated washers. I don't recall ever seeing a
lock nut , but intuitively I think there should be one. I took it all
apart carefully and noted where all the parts were.
Anyone comment ?-a I don't think that putting a thin locknut will do any harm.
