I was chatting with my mum the other day about cars theyrCOd owned over the years. Somehow the list grew to 22.

Seems like a lot to me but maybe that is pretty typical for folk born in
    the 1920rCOs?

Think IrCOm on to my 14th car at age 66.

I presume there is an rCLaveragerCY figure. Are these more/less than average?

I'm 51 now... and I can even remember the reg marks of *every* single
car I have owned & driven.

my first car at 19 was a Fiat Panda 4x4 C571 UNP

followed by a Citroen AX diesel L837 AWD

    Then a Peugeot 106 diesel N974 DFY

    Then a Peugeot 206 diesel CU51 RJE

Then a Golf Mk4 golf estate diesel AG02 AUR

Then a Golf Mk7 golf estate diesel (reg mark not disclosed as it is my
    current car)

So thats 6 cars in 32 years so average period of ownership is 5 1/3 years

however ... there ought to be a different set of rules for those of us
who own (or are the registered keepers of) more than one car at a time

I currently have 4 "on the books"

As a general rule, I would say that the cars which we don't drive are
probably more interesting than the ones we do drive

Between us ( wife and myself) 15, including motorhomes, although we have
owed as many as 4 at once ( a main car each, the motorhome, and a sports
car). Currently, we have two cars plus a motorhome. IrCOm the same age as
    you.

I've been driving for about 62 years during which time I have owned 8
cars and been provided with 11 company cars (which I didn't own).

SWMBO has also owned a few cars, but only 3 or 4.

I've had 6 in around 40 years but I had one for 15 years and another for around 10 years.

Since 1967 I've owned eight cars, the current one for 12 years. I've
also had seven company cars allocated, with occasional use of seven or
so more. SWMBO has had three cars of her own in the same period.
