There were a few at the Peaker pattision ex BBC archives auction the
other day the Rogers one went for around 350 a Harbeth version around
150! And i wasn't logged on at the time or else!
Some old Studer tape machines 807 IIRC, made 1800 and a much nicer one
made around 5500 and a couple of Nagra's in an extended mount system
around 11K!

Often wonder if when I pop my clogs and the vultures come in to clear the >house if they'll realise what those small speakers in the kitchen are >actually worth? ;-)

The pair the BHF sold looked in very nice condition, cosmetically
and a light oak which a lot of people prefer (I do).
For that price you could get a brand new pair of 'copy' BBC
speakers from Wilmslow Audio ?.

maybe you meant Stirling broadcast who do make the 3/5a in more that one version;!..

I've just had that recently about all that old "junk" in your office and workshop especially all the old speakers you have! a kind offer followed
to clear out all that "junk" etc..
But then came the question of;
"By the way if anything happened to you would you like to be buried or cremated, as you've never said"!!
Does anyone ever give that any thought?...
