It's been a pleasant, though chilly, Winter's day here and we enjoyed
    lunch in town.

Today's new moon is the beginning of the Lunar Calendar and the
    Chinese New Year (Fire Horse).

I was going to toss a pancake joke but thought batter of it.

What's the definition of a will? (It's a dead giveaway.)
Time flies like an arrow. Fruit flies like a banana.

Hunker down, folks, the previous Year of the Fire Horse in 1966 brought a
major escalation in the Vietnam conflict, with the Tet offensive by PAVN
and Viet Cong forces. Civilian casualties from the three phases of the offensive were 14,300 killed, 24,000 wounded, with 630,000 made refugees.
Who knows where this Fire Horse will run?

I was fortunate enough in my travels to visit DC on a number of occasions,
and I never failed to be impressed in an awesome way with the sombre tone Vietnam Wall and the raw grittiness of the statue of the three grunts.
