Please be a little wary of the post from Frogman.

Frogman was involved in setting up this newsgroup and has swapped
posts with the Nun on countless occasions, he knows how to spell his
    name correctly.

He was opposed to using the same software for mail and news and I've
never known him to post using Thunderbird.

He signed off the post in an unusual way (for him) and had no sig and
    no X-Face.

His "Reply-to" address isn't the same as the one he's used since
    having his own website.

Frogman has the address / phone numbers of all regular posters and is
probably in a better position than any of us to answer the question
    posed in that post.

Also, look at the address he sent from:
    [replies.from.newsgroups@gmail.com].
That is a phishing address if I ever saw one.

    Bri,
It is me, I live in N Yorkshire in a place you have visited several
times, the reason I am using Thunderbird is because I have moved from
windows to an Apple Mac as it has far more power for photo editing,
however Hamster and 40Tude don't play ball with it.
I must say Thunderbird makes it very difficult to post along with family illness means I don't visit here very often.

Apologies if I have caused any concerns for any of you but it really is me.

When I get a minute I will email you and catch up.

    Take care all, Froggie.

Hi Froggie and thanks for responding, that clears all doubts and it's
great to hear from you. You did tell me about the family illness and I understand how that would severely limit the time available for
    hobbies, etc.

Photography has taken a back seat here, my camera failed and I now
rely on my 'phone for the few piccies I take.
Affinity has been taken over by Canva and uses AI making it far more

I have tried the other operating systems but just cant get along with
them, I'll be sticking with Windows.

Thanks for the clarification Froggie. I had never seen an address with

PS. Thunderbird takes a bit of getting used to, though once you have got
it set up for the way you want to work it is well behaved.
