Evenin' from and excellent day, so far, in South Yorkshire. It's
been dry, clear, warm and mostly sunny all day. The temperature peaked
at 20C, more like 1C with the, up to 26 mph cooling gusty winds from the
NW. Barometric pressure is on the up again at 1018.0 mB with the RH
showing as 50%. Temperature is now cooling gradually, at 19.2C, more
like 17C, on it's way down to an overnight low of 9C. the sky will
remain clear for the rest of this evening and overnight.
Hope you have all had a great day and thoroughly enjoyed the
weather. I even took an hour off and went and cleared most of the
chickweed from the pond surface and was pleased to see both my elderly
fish were still OK, looking well fed and quite healthy. I also remove
some of the overgrowth of pond weed and most of the blanket weed.
I was surprised by a knock on my door in the late morning to find
that my replacement immersion timer had arrived 24 hours early. So we
had the immersion heater working again. What a joy to have hot water
    flowing from the tap again.
Even Mollie made an exception this afternoon by washing and snoozing
on the cat kennel for a couple of hours, sunning herself. No other
    visiting cats around today either.
Keep yourselves healthy, safe and sound,

Good news, great to have everything working properly again.
We've had two good days too. Picked my new specs up yesterday
following my cataract surgery, how good it is to see properly again.
We lunched in town again today, this time with daughter.

Yep, I got a new pair of varifocals last month too. Not to do with the having cataract ops as I had those done back in 2015. Since then I've
had two pairs of specs. Normal vision without wearing them is great but
I need to wear them for close work, reading etc. As I prefer to wear
them when doing crosswords etc at the same time as watching TV. My
normal vision has in fact improved a little since the ops, so it's just
the a change in the close work prescription that needed a tweak.
